Your First Visit
We love seeing new patients, and we’re excited to talk about your family’s orthodontic care. We’ve set aside special time during your first visit to get to know you and discuss your concerns. Our goal is to provide treatment that is uniquely designed for each patient. We look forward to getting to know you!
Please allow approximately one hour for your first visit to our office. In addition to a comprehensive clinical evaluation, we will determine if this is the right time to begin treatment or if further growth and development are needed. If treatment is indicated, we will provide you with complete information about the nature of the orthodontic concern and the approximate length of treatment time. We’ll also be happy to review the financial aspect of your orthodontic care. Though fees are based on the nature and complexity of individual cases, we offer a variety of affordable payment options, including the coordination of insurance. Please plan to bring your insurance information with you to this first appointment.
Getting Started
We personally assess each patient’s case based on the information gathered during the initial exam. If treatment is indicated, the next step to getting started is diagnostic records. Diagnostic records usually consist of impressions, photographs and radiographs. Impressions are needed to obtain accurate models of the teeth and dental arches so that we can accurately measure their relationships to one another. Photographs and radiographs will be used to determine where to move each of the teeth within the upper and lower jaws. In order to minimize your time away from work and school, these records can usually be obtained the same day as your initial examination.
